Baselode reports high-grade uranium in 15.5-meter mineralized zone to ACKIO Discovery

TORONTO, December 6, 2021 / CNW / – Baselode Energy Corp. (TSXV: FIND) (OTCQB: BSENF) (“Baselode“or the”Society“) is pleased to announce uranium assay results from the first diamond drill hole, AK21-01, of the recent uranium discovery ACKIO (“ACKIO“) on the Hook project (“To hang up“), Athabasca Basin area, north Saskatchewan.

Highlights include:

  • High grade uranium * confirmed; 1.29% by weight U3oh8 more 0.5 m To 138.8 m and 0.66 wt% U3oh8 more 0.5 m To 142.3 m
  • Measurement of the primary mineralized zone 15.5 meters 0.13 wt% U3oh8 from 134.3 m
  • Multiple uranium intersections occurring on 200 meters the length of the borehole.

“We are very pleased with the confirmation of high grade uranium at ACKIO. The discovery of ACKIO begins to take shape; with high grade uranium intersected near the surface, multiple and extensive zones of mineralization and an alteration halo that exceeds more than 230 meters suggesting a structurally controlled massive fluid system. We’re still in the early days of exploring and learning more about ACKIO, but these AK21-01 scan results have provided us with invaluable information to help us plan our next steps accordingly. “, said James sykes, CEO, President and Director of Baselode.

The Company will follow up on this press release with a video presentation for the public in the coming days which will provide encouraging comparisons with other Athabasca high-grade uranium deposits hosted underground, such as 1) NexGen Energy’s Arrow deposit (TSX: NXE) and 2) Denison Mines (TSX: DML) Gryphon deposit. The video presentation will also highlight the significance of the high levels of cobalt, copper and nickel intersected in the borehole, as well as the extent and significance of the boron, lithium and vanadium anomalies in the halo d. massive weathering.

The analysis results of the remaining drill holes (AK21-02A to AK21-04) performed on ACKIO during the summer program will be published once they have all been received, verified and approved by the technical team of the society.

Winter exercise program planned on ACKIO
Baselode plans to launch a 10,000 meter diamond drilling program on the ACKIO discovery from mid-January to the end of January. Drill holes will be planned to intersect the mineralization along the strike and dip, which remains open in all directions, and to test the non-conforming style of the mineralization. The drilling program will be executed with the help of helicopters to reduce the environmental impacts induced by the soil in the project area.

ACKIO is located 30 km southeast of a well-established infrastructure including an all-season road and power line that connects Cameco Corp. (TSX: CCO) and Orano McArthur River the Key Lake uranium mine and plant joint ventures. ACKIO is located 70 km northeast of the Key Lake plant.

REMARKS:

* Baselode considers “high grade” to be uranium mineralization with a concentration greater than 0.5% by weight of U3oh8

1. All reported depths and intervals are borehole depths and intervals, unless otherwise noted, and do not represent actual thicknesses, which have not yet been determined.

About Baselode Energy Corp.
Baselode currently controls 100% of approximately 227,000 hectares for exploration in the Athabasca Basin area, north Saskatchewan, Canada. The land lot is free from any option agreement or underlying royalty.

by Baselode Athabasca The Exploration 2.0 thesis focuses on the discovery of high-grade uranium deposits near the surface, hosted in the subsoil, outside the Athabasca Bowl. The exploration thesis is complemented by the Company’s preferred use of innovative and well-understood geophysical methods to map deep structural controls in order to identify shallow targets for diamond drilling.
